Whiplash

The most common of injuries in Road Traffic Collisions and the most contraversial. All sorts of tests and studies have been done to see if it exists, whether it is all in the mind, and indeed to seperate those with genuine symptoms from opportunists.Insurance companies hate these claims because the injury is so difficult to disprove and a whole arm of litigation has arisen around low velocity impacts.

I have often had success in cases by relying upon the research carried out by Thatcham. http://www.thatcham.org provides a wealth of information about vehicles and their safety standard and records. You might be surprised which vehicles are the safest and moreover how unsafe many of the popular models are. One of their statistics is specifically geared around whiplash safety. Has anyone else ever used these or similar statistics to suggest that an injury is more likely because of the type of car a client was in at the time of collision?
