Trustees of Private Members Club

Not sure if this is the right place but......

Is there anything stopping a trustee of a private members club also holding an official position (eg Chairman, V Chairman) on the Management Committee of that club.

Normally the trustees are appointed to hold the property and assets of the club on behalf of the members.

The management of the affairs of the club is entrusted to a committee of members elected in accordance with the provisions of the rules.

I know of nothing which prevents a trustee being on the management committee.

Ian - thanks for that.  As a  follow-on, if a person were to hold dual roles then I presume they'd still only have 1 vote on the Management Committee.

Subject to what is in the rules,yes I do not believe you would have a double vote on the management committee.
