MASS launches campaign to clamp down on car insurance companies
Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) have launched a campaign to help victims of road traffic accidents (RTA) claim the compensation they deserve. More and more people in the UK are being approached by their insurance companies after an accident, offering to win the victims compensation for their injuries.
However, it is known that the insurance companies are taking a high percentage of payouts, leaving victims with a lower amount than they should have received. MASS (www.mass.org.uk) state that they are "extremely concerned as this practice is unjust and plainly wrong, with the insurer acting as Judge, Jury and Paymaster."
It is unfair that most people are contacted by their insurers long before they have had a chance to think about contacting a specialised injury lawyer, and so many do fall into the trap, which results in them gaining less money.
