To shorten this story, here goes.the council have lied to us about a court order ,what do we do.We have had a problem a very serious stalker and problem family have given us hell, they have a council house ours private, for 3 yrs, my then 15 yr old daughter is scared to death of this family as are my other children,so eventually 6 months ago the council said right the man of this family has been constantly on your property at 2 am every night, hes been arrested for strangling my daughters weedy boyfriend we are going to get a court order against this married man of 36 and restrain him from coming near you and for your boyfriend, with power of arrest it will stand for 12 months.6 months more of hell with this jeremy kyle family,we have now today employed a solicitor but havnt spoken much about it as yet.Today we found out that the council hasnt even asked for a court order never mind got one,it was said to calm my daughter down,we have 8 witnesses that sat in with 2 housing official ladies and listened to them saying, they had this order,we learn today it never happened,i cant understand it,please help, after finding out the council wont even talk to us,they are trying to cover it all up,what do we do,they lied and its serious as we even told our solicitor, and the police we had this order, they said they couldnt let us have it,it wasnt their policy, please help.we have been fobbed off.next step required please what do we now say to the solicitors, have we a case against the council bods. This particular family have put us through hellwrecked our cars stolen goods from our property, constant harrasment day and night,we are quite scared of what they will all do next, theres 5 of them, all we get from the police is why dont you sell up and move, its your only option.

unfortunatly I would agree
unfortunatly I would agree with the Police, if there is a problem neighbour, you will need to get a camera to collect the proof, then the person will goto prison for some time, however the other members of family may taunt you. And when the arrested person is released it will be the same thing and he/she will be more angryer.
Sorry I couldnt help, but to move will mean you are out of the problem area. maybe rent another house, and then rent your house, and if they ever move you can move back.
thanks
i understand what your saying, although not easy to sell at the moment,my main concern is can i sue the council for lying,it had a knock on affect,as at my daughters work she told them about the order, they then were to arrest this man if he came in the shop to harrass her.trouble is there was no order,we were told it to shut us up and because the council didnt think we would go to a solicitor,we have 8 witnesses and were told that this order was in place when it actually hadnt even been applied for, where do we stand.thanks
