Exit Door Regulations?

Hi All,

I am currently renovating a house to move into that I recently bought.

The existing kitchen has a normal entry from a hallway as well as another door that goes to the outside of the house into a car port (side of the house in front of the garage. I would like to block this door up, I already have access to the garden from the living room as a means of fire escape to the rear.

Are there any regulations that state there should be 2 escapes from a kitchen? I.e the existing door from the hall way plus the side exit door or am i free to block it up?

any help much appreciated.Thank you
