Burst Pipe Damage

Good evening,

I wonder if anybody can answer or provide advice on a burst water supply pipe problem.

A water supply pipe has burst beneath my patio about 3 feet away from my house. The pipe does not serve my property but serves a number of neighbouring properties. I understand from the local water authority that the neighbours are collectively responsible for the pipe but the water company are going to provide a one off free repair.

My question is are the neighbours responsible for the damge to my patio that this has caused and will they be liable for any foundation damage, damp etc. that may have been caused by having a churning water leak right next to my house for what could be up to 3 weeks?

I am unable to legally turn off the supply.

Any advice or answers would be greatly appreciated.

your neighbours would be

your neighbours would be liable for any damage to your property caused by their pipe. I hope they are insured.
